Weekend Read 28 January 2023

Weekend Read 28 January 2023

I have always believed that it is the simple things in life that make such a difference, an acknowledgement, a smile and an understanding that we are here to help each other, as best we possibly can.  On from that, a thought, a suggestion, a way of being can be transformative if we are willing to embrace the opportunity to do so.  And because so many of you are willing to embrace such opportunity with our collective Rapid Tapping sessions, I am extending another Rapid Tapping invitation, led by Poppy Delbridge.  Who is one of us.  An award-winning one of us.

More than just a tapping session, this is in fact a workshop, lasting for about an hour, where Poppy will talk about how we can change beliefs and manage emotions, which will then lead into a tap.  That tap will focus on releasing doubts about our own inner power and ability to set powerful intentions, which is totally relevant for those of us who have experienced trauma in our lives.  And most of us have.  Gifting with insight, this session is absolutely free, it is an off-camera webinar event and it will take place tomorrow evening, Sunday 29 January, at 6 pm GMT.  I will leave registration details at the end of this newsletter.

So, into the product section we go and if ever I was grateful that a product had been created, Ionicell would step right into that genre.  I know that I don’t have to write about its efficacy, that much is proven.  However, for those who are new to us, this is the supplement that has been specifically formulated and clinically proven to help our bodies generate collagen and re-hydrate cells.  Powered by Ioniplex, a Fulvic ionic mineral, it remains our bestselling skin, hair and nails formulation, and I can’t envisage anything coming close anytime soon.  Unless Shabir has secretly been formulating a third-generation supplement, but I don’t think he has.

Anyway, I really don’t think there is a need for a third-generation supplement because there is no doubt in my mind that Ionicell sufficiently supports the health of our hair and strengthens our nails.  The acid test is of course if you stop taking it and over time you will probably notice a difference in the condition of your skin, hair and nails, but I’m not going to put it to the test.  It’s enough that I stopped taking Hyaluronic Acid in order to test its ongoing efficacy.  But back to Ionicell, and as you will have realised by now, I am dropping the price from £20 to £16.  The dosage is one or two capsules a day.  And in a thoroughly obvious statement, I take two capsules each day.
Ionicell For Women £16 for 60 Capsules (offer ends at midnight GMT, Sunday 29 January)

And having mentioned HA, I just want to say here that I don’t take every supplement that I write about, there is no need and I don’t want to rattle. I often write about specific products for specific health concerns, so I am discerning about the supplements that I do take, as is Shabir, and we don’t take the same supplements because we are not the same and our needs differ.  But the one thing I do know is that many of you take Ionicell, Hyaluronic Acid and Essential Youth L-Ergothioneine, the nutrient which has been extensively researched and developed for its long-term health and anti-ageing properties.  And I take all three.  Religiously.

Following through I know that I took the price of Hyaluronic Acid Capsules High Strength down very recently, but I just felt the need to put these three supplements together, as one.  And so that’s what I’ve done and as such I have created an offer incorporating all three supplements, Ionicell, HA and L-Ergothioneine.  Together these three supplements have a value of £77, but that drops to £65 across the weekend, with a saving of £12.  And of course the offer on Ionicell remains as a stand-alone, as it should.
VH Editorial: Is Ergothioneine The Next Longevity Nutrient; The Trilogy £65 (Ionicell For Women 60 Capsules; Hyaluronic Acid Capsules High Strength 30 Capsules; Essential Youth L-Ergothioneine 30 Capsules) (offer ends at midnight GMT, Sunday 29 January)

Some of you may remember that many years ago I did something similar to the above, and I did it because I felt like having a bit of fun.  I created two separate offers, both were called ‘Be Like Me’.  One listed the supplements that I was taking at that time, and the other listed the supplements that Shabir was taking.  In other words, I created a miniature competition between us, which rather thrilled me, most especially because I won.  I am not going to do the same here, but I will tell you that Shabir takes Superior Joints and he has done so for the longest time.  And just perhaps he formulated it for himself.

Again, Superior Joints is a supplement that needs very little explanation for most of you.  It is our bestselling supplement in its genre and it was formulated to help provide pain relief for arthritis, knee pain, muscle pain and backache.  Containing Turmeric, Ginger and Hyaluronic Acid, its key ingredient is Natural Eggshell Membrane (NEM), a clinically proven source of Chondroitin, Hyaluronic Acid, Collagen and other Glycosamino-glycans essential for healthy joints.  And although we always state that a supplement takes at least 28 days to fully kick in, in a double-blind placebo-controlled clinical trial, which was published in Clinical Rheumatology, more than 50% of patients noticed an improvement within ten days.

Please don’t hold me to that, because I am just reporting on clinical findings and we are all different, but these findings are pretty impressive, as is the efficacy of this supplement.  Shabir covers all of this in his article, which I have linked below, and within a link to the results from two open-label human clinical studies, to support efficacy, which is key to understanding why certain supplements are far superior to others.  So Superior Joints, because we believe it is superior and because so many of you would agree with that statement, a celebration of acknowledgement as I drop the price of Superior Joints from £30 to £26, across the weekend.

I feel a little bad here because I have changed a supplement that I have been taking, but I have done so because Shabir advised me to do so.  Like so many of us I take digestive enzymes because although digestive enzymes are produced naturally within our bodies, their production diminishes with age, and I am not 29 any more, although I think I am.  And as I referenced last week, stress plays a large role in the digestion of food together with not chewing food properly, and I am certainly guilty of that one.  Must do better.

Regardless, enzymes are necessary for all functions carried out within our bodies and a lack of digestive enzymes often results in bloating, occasional constipation, reflux and abdominal discomfort.  Enzymedica are enzyme experts so as such please allow me to introduce you to Digest Complete, which contains a specific blend of eleven enzymes including Protease, Amylase, Lipase and Cellulase which in turn form the exclusive Thera-Blend enzymes.  These Thera-blend enzymes have been shown to be three times stronger and six times faster than other leading enzyme supplements, which is why, after thoroughly researching, Shabir advised the change.

So let me just say that Enhanced Super Digestive Enzymes have served us so well over many years.  I have written about them often and I do become attached to certain products, but in a way that is an emotional attachment and I have to stand outside of my emotions whenever, and wherever, ongoing research and development dictates.  And it dictates here, most especially because Thera-blend technology means that the enzymes used will work in the critical pH ranges naturally found throughout the digestive system. So, with a recommendation from Shabir that we should all change over, let us do so by dropping the price of Digest Complete from £28.88 (that’s an odd price anyway) to £25, for the interim.

Right, let’s talk about a common health concern.  Ear infections (otitis media) usually occur in the middle ear canal and some common causes of infection include poor immunity, respiratory tract infections, a lack of mucus production and food sensitivities.  The symptoms of ear infection may be ear pain, discharge and congestion, which can lead to muffled hearing.  So, a natural solution here, and that solution is in the form of Organic Ear Oil which contains herbal oils and extracts to help calm and soothe ear inflammation and pain.  And with regular usage, Organic Ear Oil may also help prevent wax build-up.  That’s it.

The Ingredient Focus.  And this week we do the in-depth on Moringa, or rather Shabir does in his article linked below.  The Moringa Tree is often referred to as The Miracle Tree and it has been dubbed as the most nutritious plant on earth.  Almost every part of the tree can be utilised and each of its parts are highly nutritious.  Containing over ninety nutrients in its leaves, the Moringa leaves also contain over forty different types of antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds.

In recent times, Moringa has been gaining status as an adaptogen.  Adaptogens are a special class of herbs that act like a thermostat as they give energy and focus, while working to help calm the body, bringing it back into balance.  The health benefits of Moringa include nourishing our immune system, enhancing circulation, increasing energy and helping to promote health digestion.  That’s the overview, Shabir does the rest as I tell you that we are offering a 20% discount across each of Aduna’s Moringa products, whilst stock last, and that includes their Cleanse Moringa, Mint & Nettle Tea.

An interjection here as I announce the death of a niche brand and a niche product.  And although I haven’t received formal notification, Heal Gel appears to have disappeared off the face of the earth as all forms of communication have ceased, which speaks volumes.  Heal Gel was the brand we launched for and on behalf of five leading plastic surgeons, including the late Martin Kelly, and I remember with great fondness its first incarnation in a little pot and its appearance in The Times, which really did put it on the map.  As it deserved to be.  So, goodbye Heal Gel. I will never forget you.  You were of an era.

Also of an era, Sheald Recovery Balm followed through and it was the first-ever wound-healing product that could be used on open wounds. Specifically formulated to accelerate wound healing in post-procedure skin, it helps reduce inflammation, limits scarring and it also plays a role in helping to alleviate rosacea and psoriasis.  A profound product, it is used and accredited by surgeons all over the world, as it deserves to be.  And as I acknowledge its efficacy, I do need to tell you that iS Clinical are increasing their prices, in line with so many brands, this coming Wednesday, 1 February.  As such, Sheald will become £35 and £70 respectively.  And I have to conform.

Back to supplementation and a new range of supplements for children.  Super Powders were created by a mum to young children who was desperate for her children to eat well.  Discussing this issue with family and friends, most were experiencing some form of fussy eating, yet they all wanted their children to have a bit more goodness. Super Powders are superfoods, made solely from plants, vegetables, fruits and seeds.  They are wholesome and suitable for all ages and blend seamlessly when mixed into foods and drinks, so children are unaware of the nutritional power within.

There are currently three products in the range, Invisible Veg, Seed Squad and Wonderchoc.  I love the idea of these and just in case you need to know, Wonderchoc actually tastes of chocolate, which can only be a good thing, as it supports immunity and gut health.  Anyway, be that as it may, I have friends who still won’t eat vegetables, so maybe I’ll dose Invisible Veg into the next sauce I make, which would amuse me.  But not nearly as much as plying Shabir with a chocolate milk shake.  And a straw.

Let’s move on and as we do so I want to talk about dry legs, dry skin and dead skin cells, in other words winter skin.  The cold weather and central heating play havoc with our skin and although most people tend to talk about body lotions in the summer months, perhaps there is a greater need in the winter months, so let’s talk.  And we are talking about two products here, the Dermasuri Deep Exfoliating Mitt and Fulvic Body Lotion, which felt left out because we didn’t include it in the Fulvic Discovery Kit.

Anyway, the main thing here is that the Dermasuri Deep Exfoliating Mitt revives dry, dull skin by removing dead cells and debris and its special fabric grabs flaky skin and simply rolls it off the surface.  It comes into its own when you use it on your legs, which I find exciting.  However sad that may be, this exfoliating mitt will leave your skin better able to absorb body lotions, and of course we recommend Fulvic Body Lotion, which includes two breakthrough skincare technologies that deliver intense hydration to dry and ageing skin.  If you would like both of these products to reside in your bathroom, and I think most of you probably would, please read on.

In a cross-brand limited edition treat, we are offering you the opportunity to try both of these products, if you haven’t already done so, for £22.  Given that the Dermasuri Deep Exfoliating Mitt is £14.99 and Fulvic Body Lotion (200 ml) is £20, that is a saving of £12.99, or looking at it another way, when you buy Fulvic Body Lotion, you will pay just £2 for the Dermasuri Deep Exfoliating Mitt.  It doesn’t really matter how you cut it, what matters is that your skin doesn’t feel tight and uncomfortable and on a personal note, I refuse to walk around with crocodile legs, even if nobody can see them.

Last weekend I wrote about how Magnolia Rhodiola Complex was one of the fastest acting supplements to help reduce stress hormones.  I was going to follow through by writing about Neurophroline Serum, which breaks down the bodies cortisol production (the stress hormone), thereby helping to reduce inflammation, one of the main causes of ageing skin, but I forgot.  I don’t know why I forgot, I just did, so here it is now and it arrives in its oversized version, meaning that you will receive 45 ml for the price of 30 ml, which is £19.50.  Better late than never.  I suppose.

A few more things to say and the first is about In The Beginning by Temple Spa.  As I wrote earlier this month, the price of In The Beginning Deep Cleansing Melt dropped from £32 to £25 for the month of January.  With just a few more days left in this month, four to be precise, a final opportunity to take advantage of this offer as the price of In The Beginning will increase to £33 from 1 February.

Next.  Socks and soaps.  As in Silversocks and Magnesium Soap.  And I really have got egg all over my face as I honestly didn’t anticipate the extraordinarily high demand for both of these products last weekend, most especially because it was the second or third time I had written about them in successive weeks. So once again both products went into pre-order status, but both are back in stock now.  I promise you that if this happens again, I am going to run away and leave somebody else to do the ordering.  Meanwhile I will hero them out and who knows, at the end of the year there may be a sock and soap award.  If I get to the end of the year.

Into the Saturday only treat, and with every order placed for £30 and above, excluding p&p, we will send you a gift from Temple Spa*.  We have several gifts to share, so although I can’t be specific on the gift you will receive, I hope that you enjoy using it.  And I’m linking the Temple Spa products below in order that you can browse through them, if you so wish.

All that is left is for me to link you to the registration details for the Rapid Tapping workshop tomorrow evening, which I do so below.  Specifically targeted, this workshop will help bridge the gap between having a desire and the reality of that becoming true for you.  I do have to say here that we have received some incredible feedback referencing life-changing experiences, which I fully endorse, but these changes cannot happen overnight, they require commitment and understanding.  This workshop will go some way in looking at three key gap issues and how we can overcome in order to manifest a better way of being.  It’s not complex. But it is powerful.
