The VH Playlist

The VH Playlist

Ever since the global pandemic hit in, our lives have been turned inside out and upside down and it was extraordinarily apparent that we needed to stay as close as we possibly could.  None of us knew the extent of the difficulties that were to unfold in each and every day.  And so it was that I started to send out weekly bulletins instead of the monthly newsletters.  Primarily it was to update each of you of the enormous difficulties we were experiencing in product shortages and of course the massive problems with deliveries, which continue to be ongoing.

But more than that, I felt driven to share our collective thoughts on an emotional level, all the while remaining optimistic that there would be light at the end of a very long black tunnel.  We had to trust and we had to believe and sporadically I would include a song at the end of each Weekend Read, because music is tremendously healing and if we could experience that healing, even for a few moments of time, then we could come together as one in an attempt to overcome.  As such, I featured Bruce Springsteen's version of 'We Shall Overcome' twice.

Such was the response from so many of you, I then begun to include a song each and every week.  Some of these songs were chosen by me, some were chosen by you, but essentially I feel that together they tell a story of our journey through these unprecedented times.  They tell a story of the hurt, the trauma and pain, but they also tell a story of the determination and strength we find in each other.

So The VH Playlist.  The songs are listed in date order, with the most recent song at the top, which of course we will update with each passing week.  I wanted to put this Playlist together because at any given moment we can each refer to it and listen, once again, to the songs that we have sung together.  At times we laugh, at times we cry, at times so many of these songs express the vulnerability we are each feeling.  But above all else, we sing with one voice.  And that voice has become the very foundation of our campaign to uphold the core of our health and wellbeing.  As we seek our own truth in all that we are and all that we do.  Let us sing.  The songs.
