As I welcome you to another Weekend Read, tomorrow is officially the first day of Spring with all that it brings, and that would of course include the hope we collectively hold for lighter days ahead.  We continue to stand together and as we do so, I promised that I would give you all the news and feedback now that I’m back from LA, and there has been rather a lot.

I’m jumping around a bit, so forgive me but I need to tell you about two product famines.  I am far from thrilled about the first product shortage because it is Essential Youth L-Ergothioneine, a supplement we launched just two weeks ago.  I suppose in one way it is a testament to the brilliance of this new ingredient, and it is an exceptional ingredient, but our stock levels are quite low at this time and I am being told that we may have to wait until the middle of April, or slightly longer, for further stock.  I really don’t think we can avoid another dreaded wait list, but I am holding out for a miracle.  And they do happen.  Sometimes.

The second product famine is Mankai Duckweed and by all accounts there is a global shortage of this ingredient, which would perhaps explain why this product has been peaking over the past few weeks.  Once again, we are still in stock, but I’m really not sure how long it will last or when the raw ingredient will become readily available again.  I have written several times about raw ingredient shortages over the past couple of years and this issue is still problematic across so many products as we, the greater we, are still experiencing the extensive, yet expected, fallout from the pandemic.  Transparency remains key.  Throughout.
