Weekend Read 12 November 2022
As life rolls on, I am going to begin by announcing that we will be doing another free Rapid Tapping session, led by Poppy Delbridge, on Sunday 27 November at 6 pm. Following through on some of my words from last weekend, there is no doubt in my mind that there is a profound warmth in having a collective positive belief, most especially when we are able to shift negative and unhelpful patterns in order to awaken new possibilities. Of course this looks different for each of us, but tapping is scientifically proven and with repetition being key to outcome, we will be tapping once again with purpose and intent.
Not only will we be tapping with purpose and intent, but we will be tapping for purpose and intent. There is no doubt that because of ongoing global difficulties, many of us feel lost and without purpose, illustrating the cause and effect relationship, which in so many instances is out of our control. It really doesn’t matter what your purpose is, it could be anything, but we will be tapping to help strengthen the very core of our being in order to access the powerful resources we all hold within. So for now, together with lovely Poppy, I invite you to save the date and I will include full registration details on Saturday 26 November in the Weekend Read.
As we move on another announcement and, after the longest time, we now have Gift Cards available. We were constantly being asked if we would offer Gift Cards and so we listened to you, albeit the backend technology took forever and a day to sort out, as these things do. Anyway, what you need to know is that these are available in several denominations, but you can customise the denomination if you so wish. I think we have all occasions covered, so as I leave this with you, here is another invitation to share, embracing an abundance of thoughtfulness and care for the wellbeing of others.
Right onto and into the products, and having written about Ionicell last weekend, it will be no surprise to you that I am now going to write about Fulvic Elixir today. I absolutely know that I keep banging on about Fulvic, but I can’t help myself because my belief in all things Fulvic is absolute. And quite honestly, I would far rather do this than keep introducing you to new products which just don’t cut it. The other side of the equation is that so many of us take the same supplements, so I am always going to support and acknowledge that fact, most especially because I need to honour your commitment and trust.
With a bit of a twist, I am going to be using Fulvic Elixir 240 ml here. I want to use this size because it is easier to pack if you are travelling, but that aside it gives an opportunity to those who have yet to experience the multiple benefits of Fulvic Elixir, as outlined in Shabir’s article linked below. I really don’t think I need to add anything to this other than to tell you that Fulvic Elixir 240 ml has a value of £15, but I am dropping that to £10 in order to uphold my belief and your commitment. And that is what really matters here. We belong to Fulvic and Fulvic belongs to us.
VH Editorial: The Elixir Of Life; Fulvic Elixir £10 for 240 ml (offer ends at midnight GMT, Sunday 13 November or whilst stock lasts)
Having said that so many of us take the same supplements, I am of course referring to core supplementation such as Fulvic, Hyaluronic Acid Capsules, Mega Probiotic ND, Ionicell and on. It is at this point that we split, and we do so because our health concerns vary and of course there are specific supplements for specific concerns. One of which is CholestSafe. Formulated by Shabir, CholestSafe is a herbal remedy containing Red Yeast Rice and Policosanol to help lower cholesterol naturally, including LDL cholesterol (bad cholesterol). Maintaining healthy cholesterol levels, CholestSafe also helps to reduce high triglyceride levels.
That is the overview, but as ever we need to back up such statements with knowledge and understanding of any given health concern. It remains of the greatest importance that you are able to make considered choices, so with that said I am going to refer you to Shabir’s article, linked below, where he explains cardiovascular health and the difference between good and bad cholesterol. And having put CholestSafe in the spotlight, I will tell you that we believe this is best-in-class and as such I am lowering the price from £26 to £22 across the weekend, or whilst stock lasts.
VH Editorial: How To Lower Cholesterol Naturally; CholestSafe £22 for 90 Capsules (offer ends at midnight GMT, Sunday 13 November)
Weight loss is a notoriously difficult subject to write about, which is why I don’t often write about it, but I know that it concerns many of you. I also know that Yacon Syrup, which has Shabir’s stamp of approval, has helped rather a lot of you, so I will now refer you to Shabir’s words, linked below, which offer guidance and support. All that is left is for me to drop the price down on both sizes of Yacon Syrup, as listed below.
VH Editorial: Can Yacon Syrup Help You Lose Weight; Organic Yacon Syrup £6 for 170 ml (drops from £7.49); Organic Yacon Syrup £14 for 425 ml (drops from £15.99) (offers end at midnight GMT, Sunday 13 November)
Let’s do a new product launch. It comes from Dermelect Cosmeceuticals and it is their Smooth Upper Lip Professional Perioral Anti-Ageing Treatment. For ease, let’s call it Smooth Upper Lip and it has been formulated to help address all the visible factors that represent upper lip ageing, which include vertical lip lines, smile lines and discolouration. I’m fine with smile lines, but I’m not sure that I’m that fine with vertical lip lines, so with a promise to help soften the look of these lines with a concentration of advanced ingredients, this treatment product will help smooth the delicate skin around the mouth and at the same time will help prevent lipstick from bleeding into those lines.
Lip bleeding is a thing really, rather like sprouting chin hairs, which is most definitely a thing. I honestly don’t have a thing about ageing per se, but I definitely have a thing about bleeding lips and sprouting chin hairs. Anyway, I think most of you will agree with me, so let me also tell you that you can also treat nasolabial folds and melasma with this product, but this will obviously take time, it is not an overnight fix. Smooth Upper Lip is a potent treatment and as such a little will go a very long way, which is rather a good thing. Another good thing is that it will also help fade under the nose pigmentation, which is extraordinarily common.
Do I use it, yes I do and I have done so for six months and just to add to this, I also use Runway Ready Luxury Foot Treatment, which is one of Dermelect’s bestselling products. I told you last week that I am fascinated with foot products, so maintaining that stance, with every Smooth Upper Lip bought, we will automatically include the 50 ml size of Runway Ready, whilst stock lasts. One gift per customer on this. Thanks.
Smooth Upper Lip Professional Perioral Anti-Ageing Treatment 15 ml + Free Runway Ready Luxury Foot Treatment (50 ml) by Dermelect Cosmeceuticals £45; Runway Ready Luxury Foot Treatment
Well, we might as well do another product launch and this time it is from Sarah Chapman. It is her Multi-C Super Shots which have been formulated to help brighten and clarify your complexion in just five nights. This ultra-concentrated system harnesses the antioxidative power of Vitamin C and each packet contains 5 x 1 ml shots, which should be used on consecutive nights for best results. The Super-Shots can, if you so wish, be used in conjunction with another new product from Sarah Chapman, Glow On the Go, an illuminating serum which hydrates and smooths the skin.
A few things to say here, the first is that I am dropping the price of the Multi-C Super Shots from £54 to £47; the second is that I am also dropping the price of the second product mentioned, Glow On The Go from £38 to £35 and the third is that with every order for either of the two products mentioned, we will automatically include a complimentary 5 ml Icon Night, which is worth £19.50. These offers are for the interim.
Multi-C Super Shots by Sarah Chapman £47 for 5 x 1 ml; Glow On The Go £35 for 10 ml; Icon Night
Back to health concerns and it is estimated that one in four women experience vaginal dryness during menopause, but this condition is not just confined to the menopausal years as vaginal dryness can occur several years before the onset of menopause and for many years beyond menopause. Typical symptoms include itching, painful intercourse and urinary discomfort.
There are of course many remedies to treat vaginal dryness and Shabir refers to several of these in his article, but I am just going to throw the focus on one of those products, Omega-7 Sea Buckthorn Oil capsules by Sibu. In a study conducted by the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Finland, it was concluded that Sea Buckthorn Oil was a natural and effective solution, contributing to the health of mucous membranes, which is where vaginal dryness occurs. Containing a super-dose of Omega 7 fatty acids, these capsules will also help alleviate dry skin, dry eye conditions and Sjogren’s Syndrome too, so let’s do a price drop from £20.99 to £17.
VH Editorial: Overcoming Menopausal Vaginal Dryness; Managing Sjogren’s Syndrome; Omega-7 Sea Buckthorn Capsules by Sibu £17 for 60 Softgels (offer ends at midnight GMT, Friday 18 November or whilst stock lasts)
Right, let’s talk about raw ingredient shortages and I’m sorry to keep writing about this, but products and brands are disappearing off the radar and I will do my very best to keep you updated. The first thing that needs to be said is that Botanical Therapeutics is about to fall off the radar. This is of course the brand we have been recommending for over twenty years to help treat inflammatory skin and scalp concerns. As I write this, we have just three of their formulations left in stock, so I thought I would let you know.
And on subject, I actually thought that Enterosgel had gone to product heaven because it has been out of stock for the longest time. It has returned but there must be a supply and demand issue here because we are being limited on the volume of stock we are allowed to order. I honestly don’t know what this means, but Enterosgel has over thirty years of clinical research behind it and it is a remedy to treat severe indigestion, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, bloating and food poisoning. It is one of those supplements that is safe and effective for the whole family, so I sincerely hope it doesn’t end up in product heaven and that the limit will be lifted soon. As of now, we have it in stock.
Enterosgel Sachets £20.80 for Ten Sachets
Let’s talk about the Peep Club products, but most specifically let’s talk about the Heated Eye Wands. There are now three Heated Eye Wands, the original Heated Eye Wand, the Heated Eye Wand PRO and the Heated Eye Wand PRO Nickel-Free. Having written about the Nickel-Free version last weekend, I will tell you that we completely sold out, but knowing that they wouldn’t be back in stock until next year, I literally begged for a few more, and we have them, but a few really is a few. And in further news, I want to tell you in advance that the price of the original Heated Eye Wand will go up from £60 to £65 towards the end of November.
Heated Eye Wand PRO Nickel-Free by Peep Club £75; Heated Eye Wand (original) by Peep Club £60; Heated Eye Wand PRO by Peep Club £75
In this week’s Health Notes, Sarah talks about a new anthology of poetry by writer and mental health campaigner, Rachel Kelly. For Rachel, who has written about her own experiences of being engulfed by depression, she believes that feelings can be expressed in writing and reading poetry and this week sees the launch of Rachel’s new book, an anthology of her favourite verses called, You’ll Never Walk Alone. Here you will find poems for life’s ups and downs and as Sarah writes, it would make a perfect companion for dark winter nights.
Poetry Please by Sarah Stacey
And having mentioned dark winter nights, I really do have to talk about candles. There is something tremendously calming and sensuous about watching the flickering light of a candle, so please allow me to share two of my most favourite candles with you, RoseRage and GodSmell by RoadScents. With descriptions on each of the product pages, I am dropping the price of both of these candles from £35 to £30. With a smile on my face. And with beautiful uplifting fragrances wafting through my home.
RoseRage Candle by RoadScents £30 (40 hours burn time); GodSmell Candle by RoadScents £30 (40 hour burn time)
More new products, two of them actually. They are from Spots & Stripes, the brand which was specifically formulated for the needs of teenagers, although quite honestly we can all use the products and I know that Lara does because I spotted several of their products in her bathroom. These would include Happy Hair High-Shine Shampoo For Girls and Clean Team Shampoo & Body Wash For Boys. Once again, full details on the individual product pages.
Happy Hair High-Shine Shampoo For Girls £12 for 250 ml; Clean Team Shampoo & Body Wash For Boys £13 for 250 ml
Aurelia’s Cell Revitalise Night Moisturiser is a nourishing cream which fuses probiotic and peptide technologies. These technologies are boosted with plant and flower essences to help hydrate and soothe dull and dehydrated skin. This moisturiser comes in two sizes, but I am going to use the 30 ml size here and take the price down from £32 to £18 in another one of those limited edition offers. And of course this offer will only be available whilst stock lasts.
Cell Revitalise Night Moisturiser by Aurelia London £18 for 30 ml
Before we go into the Saturday only treat, I just want to mention Mani-Pedi Cures by Temple Spa. You will find this wondrous tin of products on the Christmas Gift category, but just to say that it contains five fabulous products. When we launched this product I wrote that I was besotted with the tin, and I still am. But notwithstanding that, please note that I am writing about feet again, hands and feet actually.
Mani-Pedi Cures by Temple Spa £30; Christmas Gifts
And just to be neat, I am using a Temple Spa product as the Saturday only treat. So with every order placed for £30 and above, excluding p&p, we will automatically include Temple Spa’s Toning Essence (30 ml) with your order. Toning Essence is an alcohol-free tonic in a spray with anti-inflammatory, soothing and calming properties. It can be used in several different ways, but it comes into its own as a cooling facial spritz, for hot moments, and if you are travelling it will help hydrate parched skin when flying. Full product details below.
Toning Essence – Tonic Water Without Alcohol by Temple Spa
No more words from me, just this song and the words within, which are self-explanatory.
Life won’t break any of us. We are as one.
Angels (XXV) by Robbie Williams with the Metropole Orchestra; The VH Playlist
With a lot of love and affection.
