Weekend Read 1 May 2021

Weekend Read 1 May 2021

As we go into another long weekend, perhaps we can use this time to take a deep breath and contemplate who and what we are in this ever-changing world.  As a community, I think we have, for the most part, faced the reality of adversity with love and hope in our hearts.  With more than a few tears along the way, it is very obvious that we are living in a divisive world.  I suppose that in some way we always have, but in each and every moment the divide seems to get greater.  This chasm can, if we allow it, pervade all aspects of our lives, including our relationships, so please can we try and be as strong as we can to overcome the full force of these dark energies.

It is only by standing in our own truth that we are able to gain the strength to fight the fight for our very existence.  It is only by standing in our own truth that we are able to help stamp out bullying.  It is only by standing in our own truth that we can, and will, call out greed and corruption.  And it is only by standing in our own truth that we gain the courage needed to overcome in order to heal.  I am of course talking from experience, bitter experiences actually, but if only one thing comes from the words I have been writing, then let it be that of courage.  And let it also be said that we, each of us, will not be undermined by anything, or anybody.  And then there is karma.

It is with these words that I welcome you to another Weekend Read and as I do so I want to throw the focus on being the best we can possibly be with regard to our health and wellbeing.  Whilst we each have differing health concerns, it is the fundamental core supplements that have always helped to maintain our equilibrium and Shabir always recommends taking a multivitamin.  As ever, all multivitamins are not created equally and with so many synthetic multivitamins floating around, we will only ever recommend taking a food-state multivitamin.

So whilst Shabir gives the lowdown on his chosen multivitamin, Alive Ultra Potency Multivitamin, I will chime in on his act by telling you that I am taking the price down of this supplement to £25 from £29.  If we are to lead by example, then let that example be that I remain extraordinarily aware of the ongoing circumstances that are affecting so many of us, and will continue to do so for some time.  I really don’t need to write any more words, because you mostly know what I am doing here.  And these things matter.  As we try to live to our fullest potential.

On the subject of differing health concerns, a urinary tract infection is one of the most painful infections a woman can get and the most common complaint is an intense burning sensation when trying to urinate.  Many self-treat with cranberry juice, but Shabir believes there is a problem with cranberry juice because of its high sugar content.  And the manufacturers of certain cranberry juices will probably have a problem with that viewpoint, but never mind, it’s Shabir’s head on the block, not mine.  For once.  As we now talk about Cysticlean.

So let’s take a look at Cysticlean.  Shabir believes this is best-in-class and clinical studies have proven that Cysticlean breaks the cycle of recurring urinary tract infections when used for between three to six months.  Cysticlean contains a very specific group of antioxidants called PAC’s (proanthocyanidins) derived from North American Cranberries and has one of the highest contents of PAC’s on the market.  It is this massive content of PAC’s that differentiates Cysticlean from most other cranberry supplements, but studies have also demonstrated that Cysticlean has an anti-adhesive effect on E.coli, the bacteria responsible for the majority of urinary tract infections.

Once again, I am linking Shabir’s article below as I take the price of Cysticlean down from £24.99 to £19.99 ongoing.  I say ‘ongoing’ because I am not running a time limit on this.  With so many having to endure urinary tract infections such as cystitis, and of course with us recommending a three-month course, I will leave this open as long as I am able to, but we are limited in volume.  And over is over.

I don’t know what has happened to Shabir.  I told him that I would talk about his article on Hay Fever when he started to show symptoms.  Except he hasn’t shown any symptoms yet, which is surprising because most others have and he generally suffers really badly with it.  And don’t I know it.  Anyway, I can’t wait around for him to sneeze, so the article is linked below and this time it is Shabir writing from his own experience.  And he has a particular fondness for Triple Allergy Defense because it has saved him so many times.  And, it has to be said, saved me from listening to the male version of hay fever.  Which is infinitely different to all other forms.

Following through, of all the products mentioned in his article, it is Triple Allergy Defense that is about to get my full-on attention as I reduce the price to £20 from £25 across this weekend, ending on Monday 3 May at midnight BST, because Monday is still the weekend.  Here in the UK.  And a word or two about the Cisca Saltpipe, because this really is a phenomenal tool for most respiratory disorders, including allergies and asthma.  And may I go on to say that we have always recommended using a ceramic saltpipe, which is in a completely different league from the plastic saltpipes that are available.  Thus the price difference.  Thank you.

I want to stay with health concerns and in so doing I will tell you that Glaucoma is a group of diseases that result in the damage to the eye’s optic nerve.  The optic nerve is responsible for delivering information from the eye to the brain and Glaucoma is often referred to as the ‘silent thief of sight’ because it often goes unnoticed with a gradual loss of peripheral vision.  Before anything, it needs to be said that it is absolutely imperative that you should have your eyes checked regularly, and we would recommend at least once a year to ensure that your optic nerve is not damaged, as unfortunately there is no cure for Glaucoma.

Whilst Glaucoma is still not fully understood, it is known that as the pressure in the eye increases it can lead to the degeneration of the optic nerve and the retinal cells.  Shabir explains this further in his article, linked below, and he goes on to recommend a supplement called Eye Pressure Support with Mirtogenol, which has been used in human studies and found to reduce eye pressure.  Its ingredients include French Maritime Pine Bark Extract and Bilberry.  And without any further explanation, the price drops from £30 to £27 across the weekend, ending on Monday 3 May at midnight BST, or whilst stock lasts.  And we all know what that means.

Might as well do a beauty hit now, so staying on the subject of eyes, all I am going to do here is to tell you that I am reducing the price of Eye Contour Serum down from £18 to £15.  This is of course the serum that Shabir formulated for himself because he is obsessed with eye products.  And it is a seriously fabulous eye serum with many patented technologies in one unique formulation.  I regularly examine Shabir’s face to see if any new lines have formed, but unless he is having secret surgery, his face hasn’t changed.  Which leads me to wonder if he is using this serum all over his skin.  And what else he is using.  I think it could be Neurophroline.  And more.

And on the subject of beauty products, I must learn to be careful what I say.  I suppose I only have myself to blame because when I was launching some of the new Derma E products a couple of weeks ago, I said that I could see no reason why their Crepey Skin Repair Treatment couldn’t be used on our faces.  It was of course launched as a body product, but it suddenly developed a life of its own and we rapidly went of stock.  With my apologies, it is now back in stock and if we run out of stock again, I will print Shabir’s mobile number so you can each lobby him for not ordering enough stock.  The mere thought of doing that is enough.  For me.  Sorry.

Products aside, last Sunday evening so many of us came together as Poppy Delbridge led us through a rather magnificent ‘Tapalong’ session.  Each of our reactions were different, but the ultimate aim of Rapid Tapping is to positively transform energy in order that we may nurture and heal our emotional health, mental health, pain symptoms, stress and insomnia.  We were guided to tap ourselves into a state of calm acceptance of our very being and I could have tapped all night, such is the brilliance of this often life-changing therapy.

Rapid Tapping works best with repeated use of core and varying routines, and it is with that statement that I invite you to join a new venture from Poppy called The Possibility Club.  It is in this space that Poppy will offer several initiatives which include a live 45 minute Tapalong, a monthly theme to tap into, a recorded guided Rapid Routine, with subjects such as confidence, self-doubt and worry covered.  Additionally you will learn about the fundamentals of Rapid Tapping, how to tap and when to tap, together with complimentary collaborative workshops.  There is more, much more, but fuller details will emerge over time.

The introductory membership to The Possibility Club will be £37 per month, and to put that into perspective the cost of each Tapalong workshop is usually this alone.  So I invite you to join the waitlist to receive your personal invitation to The Possibility Club when Poppy opens up spaces shortly.  I have put the link below and just to help you along the way, we are offering each of you a special 20% discount, which will be ongoing.  All you need to do is add ‘VH20’ after your name and you will be recognised as one of us.  And this is only the beginning of a journey.  A journey that, perhaps, we can walk together.  As we tap.  In unison.

All that remains is for me to say a hugely big thank you to Poppy for her love, support and generosity.  I also want to make it very clear that this is not a commercial collaboration between me and Poppy.  In some ways it is a shame that I even have to write those words, but we all know what this world can do, and I think it is best left there to be honest.  Additionally, Poppy and I will come together at some point with an offer of Pro-Bono work.  Of course there will be limited spaces when we do this, but for me the emphasis will be on those of us who have literally been bullied into submission.  And you all know my feelings on that subject.  Only too well.  Thank you.

Back to it.  Both Shabir and I are huge advocates of collagen supplementation.  I have often written that whilst collagen supplementation is required for our skin health and integrity, it also contributes to natural collagen formation for our cartilage, bones, gums and teeth.  For the record, I take Collagen Zooki as it is a highly effective hydrolysed marine collagen in Liposomes.  In other words, this is Liposomal technology at its finest and it is rich in ‘Type 1’ collagen, the most abundant form of collagen found within the body.  It is a fact that as we get older, our natural collagen levels deplete, much in the same way as Hyaluronic Acid.  Which would be why I take both.

Collagen Zooki comes in the form of a daily oral sachet, flavoured with Citrus Lime, which you can either take neat or you can add it to smoothies, yoghurt or porridge.  Because I believe that collagen supplementation makes a considered difference, I am putting together three boxes of Collagen Zooki.  Each box contains 14 sachets and the normal cost would be £83.97, except there is very little normality around here, so in a limited edition offer the price drops to £70, whilst stock lasts.  In the quest to restore elasticity to our skin, I’m wondering whether Shabir double-doses.  He is very competitive in the skincare-stakes.  So nothing would surprise me.  Nothing.  At all.

I think we should have a love-fest.  And I’m going to do this with yet another product from Green People.  It is a new product, it comes from their fabulous Nordic Roots collection, which I have written about before.  This time it is their Cranberry Micellar Foam, which is a scent-free, natural foaming face wash which has been specifically formulated to gently dissolve dirt and most make-up.  We are clearly on a Cranberry theme today and this face wash is concentrated with antioxidant-rich Cranberry extracts together with Apple Cellular Water.  It is suitable for all skin types, including acne prone skin.  And as love-fests often transmute into treats.  A treat.

This is a limited edition treat, so whilst stock lasts, I am offering you the opportunity to try this new product by dropping the launch price from £19 to £12.  As ever, I have no idea how long this offer will last, but just to say that the discounted price will show up on your checkout page and if you find you can no longer add it to your basket, then the offer is over.  And on the subject of Nordic Roots, I know that we completely sold out of the offer we had on the Nordic Roots Midnight Oil Gift Set.  For those who are waiting for their order to be fulfilled, my apologies, but the demand was high and I hope it will be back in stock very shortly.  The out-of-stock traumas continue.  Unabated.

An update.  As I knew it would, Ultra Concentrated Liquid Chlorophyll went just a little bit crazy after I wrote about it last weekend.  I am being told that in the US most forms of Chlorophyll are on wait lists, which doesn’t really surprise me.  For those who are waiting for the larger size of Liquid Chlorophyll, as I am writing this, I am being told that it should arrive any day now, and it may well have appeared before you read this.  We do still have stock of the 59 ml size, but then I did wipe out all the US stock when I saw what was happening.  For those who missed it, let’s go again, with Shabir’s article, linked below.  Or refer to my words on the last Weekend Read.

And that’s it, so into the Saturday only treat we go and with every order placed for £30 and above (excluding p&p) we will include a pot of All-Purpose Sleep Balm by Potter & Moore.  This is a nourishing blend of Vitamin E blended with relaxing essential oils to create a calming fragrance on your pulse points.  Can I just say here that many of the Saturday only products are not listed on our site, but we always seek out and buy products that we think you will enjoy.  And this will make you smile.  I recently tried to buy thousands of packets of 'designer' spaghetti so that we could eat pasta together.  Except the manufacturers didn’t respond to me.  I was most put out.  For the record.

Time to sing.  I wrote last week that I was incredibly touched by your emails about the songs we sing, and will continue to sing, together.  But more than that, I promised to include your song choices too.  With that said, I received the following: ‘Fall On Me has words that are so poignant during these often difficult times, when we all need someone to lean on for support, no matter who it comes from, or how it’s delivered’.  We mostly speak as one.  I think we always have.  My gratitude and thanks to JT for sharing.  And for taking the time to share.  Fall On Me is a duet between Andrea Bocelli and his son, Matteo Bocelli. Its beauty makes me cry.
