Hello, on a Bank Holiday weekend and there are moments when I choose not to write about specific products and today is one of those moments.  Of course, I can’t send out a newsletter without an offer, so that will come at the end, but I have always thought it important to talk, and so we are going to talk about some of the things that really matter and the importance of being a community led business.

Some time ago, I wrote about the Moai community in Japan and with the researched focus on living longer and better, one of the most pertinent aspects of that research demonstrated that this group of lifelong friends provided support to each other in terms of social, financial, health and spiritual interests.  When those principles are translated into a health and wellbeing community, it is also incredibly important to stay real, and we are now into our third decade of staying real.

Staying real means that we have retained our independent voice, enabling perspective, understanding and balance in an often challenging world.  And it is challenging, the incidences of stress related illnesses are increasing exponentially, yet through it all we have a core responsibility to look after each other and it really is that simple.  So, a few things here and the first thing to say is that together with Poppy Delbridge, I am going to extend an invitation for you to join us on an evening in September where we will be taking a look at some of those challenges.

I will confirm that date very soon, but Poppy is a much loved and respected member of our community who has helped and supported so many of us with her tapping techniques.  But it’s not just about tapping, it’s an exploration of spiritual wisdom, which has always mattered to me because all things in life have an energy, including products.  Except this isn’t about products, it is about living our lives to our fullest potential in this difficult and challenging world.  Poppy will lead and just to confirm that this is not a commercial offering, but a transformational heart-led invitation which is free and open to each and every one of you.

So, eight months into the year and I am now going to talk about products, the DoSe products, but really this is just to acknowledge your loyalty and support as we continue to raise the bar with cutting-edge and pioneering formulations.  This is who we are, this is what we do and we will continue our exploration of clinically evaluated ingredients as we roll into the autumn months, a discerning exploration because adhering to scientifically led research is key to optimal health and wellbeing.  It always has been, but it is also really important to recognise key moments in our lives, the zeitgeist moments perhaps.

The German word ‘zeitgeist’ is split, ‘zeit’ meaning ‘time’ and ‘geist’ meaning ‘spirit’, with the ‘spirit of the time’ translating here into a way of being, our way of being. We have always striven to embrace and capture the spirit of the time, whatever that looks like, and the importance of demonstrating the four tenets of the Moai community remain as important as they ever have been, but perhaps more so in this moment because so many of us feel bewildered and saddened with ongoing societal changes, yet through it all there is a comfort in communal thought and values, which are upheld in our safe space.
