Weekend Read

Weekend Read

As the weeks progress, one thing is becoming abundantly clear and that is that I feel like I’m writing a soap opera, with a different episode each week.  In some ways I suppose it maps the life and times of each of us as we continue to walk together into the unknown.  I have always thought that life works in mysterious ways and having the trust that I do, I do what I do in each moment because it intuitively feels right.  For each of us.  And that’s all that really matters.  For the now.  And in the end.

Most unfortunately for Shabir, I have several intuitive moments about all things Fulvic. As so many of you know, this started almost ten years ago when I wrote that Fulvic would be one of the single most important ingredients of the decade. I still stand by that statement. And it’s ongoing.  Research and development dictates that there will be other things.  I am not blinded by this fact, the future will bring whatever it brings, but in the here and now, my passionate belief in Fulvic shapes itself into a treat.  As these things do.

Several weeks ago, I wrote about the increasing number of people who are suffering hair loss and thinning hair.  Fundamentally, Fulvic Acid Shampoo was formulated to address these issues.  Powered by Ioniplex, the patented ingredient present in all things Fulvic (and Ionicell), it helps transform the health of your scalp and hair.  As Fulvic Acid Nail Cream is to nails, so Fulvic Acid Shampoo is to hair.  Proven.  By my own hair.  Significantly.  Over time.  A thank you inserted here to Lisa Armstrong who wrote about Fulvic haircare in The Telegraph.  She uses it too.  First product.  Two more to come.  In the treat.

And before I write one more word, you just know that I’m including Fulvic Acid Elixir in the treat.  I have to. It is of course the health/beauty crossover.  Of all time.  The inside track that needs to ‘be’ in order for the outside track to ‘be’.  The outside track is a topical.  And of course it’s Fulvic Face Cream.  I think you all know the story.  I wanted a luxurious moisturiser.  Shabir formulated it.  And I use it. Forever Fulvic.

So, we have the three products which together add up to £85.  I really don’t mind which way you choose to look at it, but I am taking £30 off the total, so in your mind’s eye you will either receive the Fulvic Acid Elixir or the Fulvic Face Cream as a gift from me to you.  This is of course a Saturday only offer and will end at midnight BST tonight (Saturday 29 August).  In order to receive this treat, please click on the ‘Forever Fulvic’ link below.  And whatever is in your mind, you can rest assured that I know what is in Shabir’s mind.  He loves me.  He loves me.  Not.

Let’s do a few new products.  Health products.  The first of which Shabir has been talking about for weeks.  It’s called Bee Pearl and it has a rather interesting story.  It is made from 100% organic Bee Bread.  During the summer months, bees create Bee Bread, which is also known as ‘ambrosia’ (not of the creamed rice variety obviously).  It is made from bee pollen, honey, bee enzymes and bee’s wax.  As the bees collect pollen, they take it back to their hives where they mix it with honey and their own enzymes.  It then ferments naturally to form Bee Bread.

And suddenly a memory descends of ‘Royal Jelly’, which was the buzz (sorry, sorry) supplement to take back in the day, and although it is of course still available, Shabir is very taken with Bee Pearl because of its many attributes.  So let me reel off some of the health benefits, which would include helping to strengthen the immune system, helping to ease symptoms of menopause, helping to reduce stress and helping to activate metabolism.  It is particularly beneficial for young children, pregnant women, the elderly and those who are prone to stress.  That covers all of us I guess.

I think it’s important to be able to drill down on certain age-specific supplements and Wild Nutrition have it covered with two new formulations for teenagers.  Food-Grown Daily Multi Nutrient Teengirl and Food-Grown Multi Nutrient Teenboy.  Each formulation provides a unique complex of Food-Grown vitamins, minerals and botanicals.

Providing iron for energy and immunity, vitamin B6 for hormone support, calcium and vitamin D for healthy bones and teeth, Teengirl also benefits from the inclusion of organic Ashwagandha and organic Artichoke for natural reinforcement during a time of rapid development.  Teenboy provides zinc for healthy testosterone, vitamin B12 for immunity and energy and calcium and vitamin D as above, with added Reishi mushroom and organic Artichoke.  We like these. A lot.

Behold.  Shabir has written another new article.  And it’s all about chin acne, which is a hugely problematic issue for so many.  According to a 2018 review of studies in the Journal of Clinical, Cosmetic and Investigative Dermatology, there was, and still is, a significant increase in adults suffering from chin acne.  So what causes acne or spots on the chin and how can you prevent it?  Shabir does the lowdown.

There are many common health concerns that are poorly understood by both health professionals and sufferers.  Leaky Gut Syndrome is one such concern and those who suffer are often unaware of this condition.  In a nutshell, the lining of the gut acts as a front-line defence mechanism to help protect the body.  If this barrier is breached, it can lead to bacteria and toxins being able to enter the bloodstream which can cause a host of problems.  The common symptoms of Leaky Gut include bloating, gas, tiredness, skin rashes and food sensitivities, to name but a few.  Yet it can go deeper than that and in this archived article, Shabir takes an in-depth look at this concern and offers a solution.

And in the middle of everything, it is of course Bank Holiday Weekend.  It was on this weekend a year ago that I sat looking at our order screen in total disbelief after an article appeared in The Sunday Times.  It was the beginning of one of the biggest and longest wait lists of all time.  A global shortage descended upon us and trust me, having written a couple of weeks ago that I can see straight the way through manufactured wait lists, there was nothing manufactured about this scenario.  I wanted to run away.  And hide.  But I didn’t.  The product I am talking about is Prickly Pear Seed Oil.  The article I am referring to was written by Nigella.

So I feel the need to celebrate.  Not only because I am still living and breathing, but because I think it’s pretty cool to acknowledge greatness.  In all things.  And so we have created a Limited Edition of 100% Pure Prickly Pear Seed Oil by increasing the size from 30 ml to 45 ml.  Except we haven’t increased the price, which remains at £20, the normal price for 30 ml.  It needs to be said that this really is a Limited Edition.  It will not last forever.  And neither will I if this goes all Prickly Pear shaped.  Go. Read.

Right, back to it and having done something for teenagers, let’s do something for children.  And these products are so cute.  In fact they are so cute that they keep selling out and the manufacturers can’t keep them in stock, so my suggestion is that you get them whilst you can because I am not sure when our stock will be replenished.  It would of course help if I told you what they are:

And they are anti-bacterial hand sanitizers.  You get two x 29 ml tubes in each pack together with a case to hold them in, which can be attached to a bag. They kill 99.99% of germs, they are rinse free and the glycerin content means they are moisturising, which is important.  We have two different versions at the moment, Dino and Unicorn.  Back to school with these.  Perhaps.

Let’s do some updates and we’ll start with Magnolia Rhodiola Complex, which has been out of stock for a few weeks.  This is of course because of the ongoing raw ingredient shortages, but I am being told we will receive a consignment in the coming few days.  Although by the time you read this, it may have arrived.

I just want to say here that this delivery is a fraction of what we actually need, but it will cover off the wait list and keep us stocked for a short while, which is something.  Magnolia Rhodiola is of course our bestselling supplement for stress and anxiety and I’m very aware of its relevance, most especially at the moment.  I am pushing as hard as I can for more stock.  That much I promise.  So many brick walls.  I’m climbing them.
Magnolia Rhodiola Complex £28 for 60 Capsules

Having launched many brands and products over the years, the rewards are numerous, but above all else it is your feedback that matters most to me.  It has always been that way, most especially because we have always thrown the focus on niche brands.  So I would just like to say here that not only am I incredibly touched and moved by your emails about the Healing Patches, but so is Ross because I share your thoughts with him.

So to each of you who have taken the time to write, I thank you because you are making the difference in your support in more ways that you can ever imagine.  What I also find fascinating are the ways in which you are using them and helping to calm Restless Leg Syndrome is one of them.  And a second mention here to Lisa Armstrong for being blown away by their efficacy and writing about them in The Telegraph.  Merci.
Healing Patches by Ross J Barr £15 for Five Patches

The one liners.  Annee de Mamiel has just released her Summer Facial Oil throwing the focus on hope, light and joy, much needed I feel.  There really is something about Derma E’s Vitamin C Bright Eyes Hydro Gel Patches.  They are more than a thing.  And are we all now taking Clean Lean Protein?  Such an amazing response.  Thank you and Shabir is now feeling compelled to write an article incorporating Clean Lean.  We await.  No pressure sweetheart.  Take your time.  Before 2021 would be good.
Summer Facial Oil by de Mamiel £80 for 20 ml; Vitamin C Bright Eyes Hydro Gel Patches £20 for 60 Gel Patches; Clean Lean Protein £33.99 for 500 grams

Time for the Saturday only treat.  With every order placed today (Saturday 29 August) for £25 and over (excluding p&p) we will automatically send you a Nourishing Avocado Hand Mask, which is a rather fabulous way to get smoother, softer hands.  This will not show up on your order confirmation or invoice, it will just be there.  Nestling in your order.

All that remains is for me to wish each of you a restful weekend.  And if you are stuck for something to do over the next three days, may I recommend you binge watch ‘Selling Sunset’, which was how I spent last weekend.  It is horribly addictive, I mean even Shabir is hooked, it’s on Netflix and it is a runaway success both sides of the Atlantic.

I have watched all three series and I don’t normally do reality TV.  But this is something else. And on top of it all, it is making headlines outside of the series.  TMZ digs deep.  You either love or hate LA.  I love it.  And I miss the madness of it all. So much.

Be safe.

With love
